Need an Official Docket or Record?

Use the court named on the case paper, citation, notice, or existing docket. Circuit and County Court records ordinarily begin with the Circuit Clerk. Chancery matters follow the Chancery Clerk. Justice Court and city municipal courts have separate record routes. A request works best when it identifies the court, case number if known, case type, approximate year, and the exact item sought.

  • A docket sheet or an eligible electronic document: use the account-based PAMEC public access route or ask the appropriate clerk.
  • A Circuit or County Court record: contact the Lamar County Circuit Clerk, Martin Hankins, at 203 Main Street, Purvis, MS 39475, or P.O. Box 369, Purvis, MS 39475, (601) 794-8504.
  • A Chancery record: contact Chancery Clerk Jamie Aultman at 403 Main Street, Purvis, MS 39475, or P.O. Box 247, Purvis, MS 39475, (601) 794-8504.
  • A Justice Court case or county traffic citation: contact Justice Court at 205 Main Street, Suite A, Purvis, MS 39475, P.O. Box 1010, (601) 794-2950.
  • A city municipal matter: use the named city court or city clerk. Purvis, Sumrall, and Lumberton records are not automatically Circuit Clerk or PAMEC records.
  • A certified copy or current court date: ask the custodian about the document type, current fee, delivery process, and the latest setting.

The official Circuit Clerk page, Chancery Clerk page, and Justice Court page are the primary county routes. Dedicated clerk pages take priority over the county directory where a time-sensitive number conflicts. Verify an address, fee, or office practice before a visit or mailing.
