Why We Built This Site
Locating a Lamar County court record starts with the court that maintains it. Circuit Court of Mississippi, Fifteenth Circuit District, and County Court records ordinarily begin with the Circuit Clerk, while Chancery, Justice, Youth, and municipal matters follow separate custodians. The Mississippi Public Records Act of 1983 provides a general public-records framework, but judicial rules, sealed orders, and confidentiality statutes still matter.
PAMEC is the account-based public access layer for eligible, non-restricted MEC material. It is not a free anonymous county-wide search. The purpose here is to distinguish those paths and point readers to the office or official system that holds the record.
